Beanie #2
Beanie for newborn baby.
Knitted in ‘broken rib’stitch which gives a very good ’stretch’, to fit snuggly on newborn but able to stretch to fit possibly up to 3months.
Beanies are such and important part of baby's wardrobe. Even on days we adults perceive as warm, baby still needs beanie and bootees on to protect from draughts/wind when taking out. If baby is born in winter a beanie is a must. NZ Plunket no longer advise bonnets/helmets with under chin straps which is why the 'nanas' now knit the beanie style hat.
