The merino wool used for the shawls is 17 micron wool - regarded as superfine. Many quality garments are made from 19- 22.5 micron merino, and anything less than 17 micron is specially grown for exclusive and expensive European brands.
The 17 micron merino wool is unique. It is unlike any conventional merino yarn sold through retail outlets.
